Founded among the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains during the year of our Lord 2023, DistilledBison was originally formed as a creative outlet to satiate the crayon hungry ghoul that resides within every designer. Over time, it has morphed into an award winning design firm with a focus on the outdoor industry (almost exclusively guns). We’ve taken our learnings from consumer power tools and precision shooting equipment and combine them to create some of the best **** your AR (or pistol) has ever seen.
Our in-house storefront is a collection of our proprietary work that we fully design from the ground-up and sell directly to you.
For now, its a Grip and a Bung, but tomorrow might be a range bag, a knife, a suppressor (silencer depending on who you ask) or anything in between. So come on in, grab yourself a drink, and watch us break something.
WHY?…
“WHY NOT?”
“Why not” is the driving force behind a lot of the work that goes on here. No focus groups, no market trend chasing, no corporate BS, just doing what we want to do and how we want to do it. Being fed up with the status quo and seeing the industry kick out the same flavor every season has pushed us to do it our way, a better way. Every project we focus on goes through the same rigorous 3 stage process as the products deemed good enough to wear the Bison Head Logo. IDEATE. VALIDATE. EXECUTE.
01
IDEATE.
01 - IDEATE: The first stage of the process begins here, asking questions, sketching ideas, failing early. This is easily one of the Most skipped portions of product development because it doesn’t grant immediate gratification. It demands your undivided attention for long hours, digging deep to find the real root of the problem.
Conceptualize, sketch, mock-up, rinse repeat until the direction is SOLID.
02
VALIDATE.
02 - VALIDATE: The second stage of our process is the longest, not because it is harder, but because we aim to make sure our designs are proven from all angles of attack. Early market exposure helps reveal flaws and oversights that would kill most other products the second they hit the shelves. We test until it fails, fix it, and break it again. Failing often where we can afford it, so we can avoid it during execution.
Build it. Test it. Break it……..Do it again.
03
EXECUTE.
03 - EXECUTE: The final stage of the design process, tackling manufacturing hang-ups and crossing logistical hurdles to ensure the product is mass produced and meets if not surpasses the original intent laid out in the Ideation phase. At this point we gather assets for marketing to create ads, content. packaging, photography, and whatever else is needed to help deliver the product to its final destination.
Once Perfected, ship it to the Masses.
